  By the way , the shared facilities were all very good and functional, in fact we ended up using those showers instead of the one in our accommodation because they were more powerful and we didn't have to worry about mopping up the floor afterwards, which was inevitable because the cubicle was so cramped and the plastic curtain only kept some of the water within the cubicle.

  We booked for 10 days from the 23rd December until 2nd January. Whilst checking out the campsite amongst other options we kept getting little warnings that "x number of people were looking at this site with further warnings to be quick as accommodation was becoming scarce "

  Just be aware and savvy, don't expect 5 star accommodation, ask for details of everything you want and need to enjoy your stay here and how much it will all cost you. You will however find the place very clean and friendly and hopefully enjoy your stay as much as we are.

  Examples :- 4 euros per small dog per day? ????? We have 2 small dogs which adds 80 euros to the total cost. We don't understand why because the dogs don't use anything to justify the cost.

  The small village of Rugat, which you drive through to get to the campsite is very quiet and quaint but we have met other people who have trekked through the mountain paths to other villages where there are basic shops (none in Rugat )

  We stayed in a static caravan which was very clean and comfortable. We upgraded to this from the basic caravan which we originally booked for an extra 100 euros for a 10 days stay which we considered reasonable because we got more space plus basic cooking facilities plus a wash basin ( no plug ), a shower plus the all important toilet !!!!! I mean, who wants to tramp over to use the shared facilities all the time ?

  On arrival the truth was that most of the place was empty with much accommodation available. It has become fuller running up to the New year but there is still accommodation available.

  There is also a handy dog exercise area which even has a shallow pool for those dogs that want a paddle (ours don't ).

  A very good place to stay. Staff all very hospitable. The area very picturesque with good walks with the dogs who are welcome at the park ( at a price ).

  Having taken all these things in consideration we still think this is a camp site worth coming to. It is located in lovely quiet country side with forested areas and mountain walks. There is even an on site lake where fishing is allowed. Access is via a key from reception.

  I wish these booking sites were more honest with people. I know they feed off human weaknesses such as not wanting to miss a chance; but facts and lies are two different things !!!

  When originally booking it was not clear in the description about what you get for your money and what the extras would cost; so maybe the website could be more specific or honest upfront.

  Facilities on site very good and clean although we found it strange that there was no plug for the wash basin which meant that having a wet shave was a problem. At reception I asked for a plug and I was told that there were none " they were not allowed " ?????
